Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to book?

Yes! We recently had to start taking bookings. It is simple just book your spot here. There are many spots per hour to choose from. If you are in need of an appointment that is already booked, email us.

How do I pay?

When you book your appointment online. It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

I’m a new patient, what do I need to know?

Your first treatment with us will include an ‘initial consultation‘, which will help us gain a deeper understanding of your condition and your overall health. During the treatment, while you relax on the bed, we may start the treatment process with another patient, before returning to finish your session. Wear loose-fitting clothing to the session.

What do you mean by a ‘group setting’?

Acupuncture Collective is a multi-bed clinic. Our treatment room is a large space containing ten beds. Our space is designed to create a relaxing and comfortable environment.

How many people are there in one session?

We provide a space for up to 10 people at one time. The individual requests of each patient are carefully attended to. If you feel more comfortable in a one-on-one setting, they are available on Monday & Wednesdays 11am - 1pm at ‘online booking’.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes, you can cancel up to 12 hours before your appointment. You also are able to edit and change your appointment online via your log in for up to 12 hours before.

Is it painful?

We often associate the word “needle” with the hypodermics used in injections at a doctor’s office. However, acupuncture needles share little in common. Acupuncture needles are hair-thin. Often, patients feel no sensation when the needle is inserted, but sometimes there is a slight prick, like the feeling of a hair being pulled. When musculoskeletal release is needed, a trigger in the tight muscles can be felt. During acupuncture, patients commonly experience a pleasant feeling of relaxation and may even fall asleep.

How long is the treatment?

You’ll need to allow approximately 45 minutes for your treatment, however, treatments can be a bit shorter or longer, depending on your individual needs. The actual time that the pins are in is around 30 minutes.
