Pain Management.
Acupuncture is used to treat all types of pain including both acute and chronic pain. Depending on the condition we utilise acupuncture, dry needling or trigger point therapy to best relieve the pain.
Research into acupuncture for pain has shown that needling affects the cerebrospinal fluid concentrations of naturally occurring opiate substances in the body which include dynorphin, endorphin, and encephalin. The latter two in particular are strong blockers or modulators of pain that is arising in the musculoskeletal system.
