  • Martine Looijschelder

Bachelor of Health Science (Comp. Med)
    Advanced Diploma Traditional Chinese Medicine
    Vedic Meditation Teacher

Martine set up Acupuncture Collective in 2012 with the philosophy of making acupuncture accessible to everyone. She has 14 years of experience as an acupuncturist and herbalist.

Massage and yoga were the first natural therapies that captured Martine’s interest, and she went on to study them extensively in Australia and India. It was the experience of being cured by acupuncture in five treatments, after years of searching to cure a chronic neuro-muscular problem in her arm, that inspired Martine to discover more about acupuncture as a solution to chronic pain and disease.

Martine says: “In Chinese Medicine, we treat the person and not the disease. Every day I am inspired by the benefits acupuncture can offer to improve our quality of life. I see acupuncture as a valuable tool for numerous conditions, but what has impressed me most is the connection to true self that it brings.”

Martine has also studied Vedic meditation under her teacher Jeff Kober, completing her two-year training enabling her to facilitate Vedic meditation courses at Acupuncture Collective.

  • Selina Spanswick

    Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture)

Selina is a registered acupuncturist and teacher at the University of Technology Sydney, with over 10 years of experience as a private practitioner. Selina’s interest in acupuncture began while studying science and spirituality. Her desire to learn led her to Chinese Medicine, and she was soon inspired by its unique and remarkably practical teachings. Selina found knowledge and discipline in TCM, and believes it has helped her find her own personal balance in life.

In addition to Chinese Medicine, Selina has studied kinesiology and rei-ki. She maintains an interest in each of these practices and continues to further her education to develop her skills as a health care practitioner.

Selina says: “Acupuncture offers genuine healing, something every person ought to have access to. I believe the Acupuncture Collective makes this a reality, and I am excited to be a part of it.”

To further her studies and reach in healthcare Yonit is currently undercover studying Medicine (Doctor of Medicine) and has the best secret to help anyone who is feeling stressed and tired.
